Infinity Gauntlet

The 1991 limited edition Infinity Gauntlet by George Perez, Jim Starlin, and Ron Lim is one of the best marvel comics. It features the story of Thanos assembling six Infinity Gems and how he placed them in his gauntlet to become ultimate godlike. These marvel comics also tell the story about his goals: to end all life and win over the woman he loves- the embodiment of death.

Using the combined power of his Soul, Mind, reality, Space, Power, and Time Gems, Thanos killed almost everyone, coming so close to his goals. Oh, Boy, I still remember how heartbreaking it was to learn that he killed the Avengers, Fantastic Four, Daredevil, and the X-Men. Can you remember any other favorite marvel comic characters? He killed them too, and all with just a snap of fingers.

The incident was truly tragic and surprising, which devastated true Peter Parker fans. This is one of those marvel comics characters that had a huge fan base, and Gwen’s death was extremely shocking.

Civil War

Civil War is ahead of Age of Apocalypse by one vote in our list of best marvel comics. The Civil War only asked one question- Whose side are you on?

The Civil War story starts with a bang as the new warriors trying to subdue B-list villains caused an explosion that killed 600 people in Stamford, Connecticut.

This act soon caught the Superhuman Registration Act’s attention, which asked anyone with abilities and powers to register with the government and reveal their identity. They have to train with government-approved superheroes if they wish to keep using their powers.

Ultimately, this leads to the pro-registration of Iron Man and Captain America dealing with the anti-registration folks. Both sides gang up in a superhero civil war. The War had some major consequences causing major death. Eventually, Tony Stark becomes the director of S.H.I.E.L.D. and immediately after Captain America dies. It took many years to recover the breach repair between Iron Man and Captain America.

This is one of the best Captain Marvel comics that were so highly appreciated that it was adapted into a blockbuster film.

 X-Men: Age of Apocalypse

Do you remember when Marvel teased us all about canceling the X-Men series? And they actually did it for a few months. Insane! Right?

Soon David Haller, Xavier’s son, decided to take his dad’s dream come true by transporting himself back in time to prevent anything and everything that comes in the way by killing Magneto. Of course, it goes wrong, and Charles jumps in the way of the blast, which kills him and sends ripples or tsunami waves of reality shifting in the timeline.

This freezes the current world in a crystalline reality bubble and creates an alternate universe that follows new events. In the new world, Apocalypse came early, way before X-Men could ever be formed.

This drastic event resulted in the alternate marvel comic book “Age of Apocalypse,” which comes with some cool characters and fan favorites like Havoc, Logan, and Cyclops, Magneto as X-Men leader who is married to Rogue and has a child. This was not a mere moment of the best marvel comics, but it paved the way for how X-men got stuck in a timeline that had lasting repercussions.

Secret Wars

No, we are not talking about the 2015 Secret Wars but the Original marvel comic books of 1984. Imagine all the marvel comics characters in one place; yes, that is exactly what these comic books did.

This was how the Marvel event crossover was born, which is a 12 issue series, “Marvel Super Heroes Secret Wars.” This historic marvel event took all the superheroes and villains off Earth and in a Battleworld. The battle saw Captain Marvel, Captain America, Hawkeye, She-Hulk, Iron Man (Rhodey), Thor, the Wasp, Spider-Man, Hulk, Magneto, the X-Men, Doctor Doom, Kang, Doctor Octopus, Fantastic Four, Enchantress, Absorbing Man, Volcana, the Lizard, Ultron, )Klaw, Titania, the Wrecking Crew, and the Molecule Man, all collide together in major combat.

This is not only a fun battle royale with marvel comics characters within sides, iconic mountain lifts, and huge fights; this battle also introduces Spider-Woman II and also the black symbiote suit of Spider M.A.N.

This story was continued right after with a sequel and several references and homages for many years.

 X-Men: Days of Future Past

X-Men Days of the future past had only two issues of the main series. In a dystopian future, the mutants gang up into concentration camps, which had the ones who were not slaughtered.

Adult Kitty Pryde travels back to a time with consciousness in order to stop the assassination of major government officials by Evil Mutant Brotherhoods and Mystique. She did succeed in her mission, but there were some lasting effects in the world. Read the Captain Marvel comics to know what those effects were.

 Annihilation

In 2006, Marvel comics decided to ignite a cosmic corner in the Marvel Universe. This is when Keith Giffen, writer, was tapped to create a limited marvel comics series, “Annihilation,” to establish new and old characters as the major Marvel Comics Universe characters.

A universe-ending threat was stopped completely away from Earth without the knowledge of any protectors like X-Men and Avengers. This opens the gate for a new Cosmic Marvel comic with the new Guardians of the Galaxy. Guardians of the Galaxy served as the base for Marvel Studios films and also Quasar and Nova.
